UPDS provides two types of programs:
Take A Stand
The free roving debate crash course
Take A Stand is a program for beginning debaters on the basics of the British and Asian Parliamentary formats. UPDS has brought T.A.S. to Ilocos, Romblon, Banuar, Pamgpanga and Sorsogon. T.A.S. seminars are held for free upon the request of interested institutions/organizations.
The program covers: rules of the British and Asian Parliamentary debate formats, speaker roles, speech types, points of information, rebutting techniques, basic argumentation & adjudication
Dates: Upon request, with at least two (2) weeks' advance notice
Venue: Depends on the host. UPDS will come to you!

Fast Forward
The advanced training camp for continuing debaters
Fast Forward is a workshop/forum for continuing debaters who want to enhance their debating and argumentative skills for the British and Asian Parliamentary debate formats.
The program covers: review of the basic format, formulating and responding to set-ups, building solid, targetive cases, extensions, rebuttals & rebuttal speeches
Date: To be announced. The last FF was held in May 2008.
Venue: UP Diliman Campus
