Aside from the debate workshop/seminar, participants will also get to watch a demo British Parliamentary debate and compete in a three-round mini-tournament, also adjudicated by members of the UP Debate Society. All participants will also receive hand-outs and primers, which they can use as references for future debate-related endeavors.

Matter Primers:
Matter primers---brief summaries highlighting important points regarding current, key issues that aid debaters in argumentation and issue analysis---will be distributed during the bootcamp. These will cover key topics such as the following:
1. International Relations, with emphasis on issues like Iran, North Korea, Gazprom and nuclear weapons
2. WTO and Intellectual Property Rights, including the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) in the context of drugs and medicines
3. Social issues such as music and media censorship, gun control
4. Global warming/ climate change and other pertinent environmental issues
5. Pertinent economic issues like outsourcing and microfinance
Registration:
Registration is at Php 650 per person, covering the use of venues, equipment, and lunch for both days. However, we highly encourage participants to register with a teammate (2 members per team only) to ensure a competitive slot in the mini-British Parliamentary tournament. You may confirm as many teams as you want.
